Gun Talk Robbie Dalton and Auto Knife Collection

D
That's one hell of a collection! I've been wanting a Dalton automatic for quite some time. The infidel lookalikes are stunning. I think that style is called a militia auto, but I could have the model wrong. My FIL who was closer to me than my biological dad had a couple from when he met Rob at a gun show back in 97'. A few years ago, a knife collecting buddy told me that his knives were "hit or miss" but in the same breath offered to buy the two we had. I probably should have just said yes because when he passed shortly after, it was like a free for all for every Tom, Dick, and Harry cousin who somehow managed to get in the house to "grieve"... Well, of course, they came up missing shortly after. To this day, I scan pockets, hands, and even have a tendency to ask "can i borrow your knife" at family events. My wife always gives me a smirk.

That's a nice collection! Sadly, Robbie Dalton just passed away this past February. I was talking to Barry Adams of Adam's Intl. recently about a really early XL Dalton AFO in my collection and he was saying that they're pretty hot with collectors right now. I expect prices on them will be going up too now that he's passed. I always wanted to get some of his knuckle dusters.

Lee's Cutlery has a good price on his brass knucks. I knew he passed and that was a key factor in picking up several of his knives.
